Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service

The Missouri Community Service Commission (MCSC) encourages all educational institutions, not-for-profits, faith-based organizations, and basically everyone across our great state to get involved on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.   You must submit a summary of your project outcomes to the MCSC to be considered to receive the MLK Award from the Commission.   In addition, we hope that you will register your project at www.mlkday.org.  In order to be considered to receive the MLK Award from the Commission, the project must have occurred on Monday January 19, 2009 and must have addressed a social problem or need. 

Follow the outline below when submitting your summary:

• Project Title
• Why did you choose this project?
• What did you or your organization accomplish?
• What lasting impacts, if any, did this project have on the community?
• Project Description (use as much space as necessary to adequately explain your project. 
• Estimated cost of project.
• Estimated number of beneficiaries as a result of this project.
• Estimated number of participants.

The submission deadline is Friday, February 13, 2009 at 3:00 pm.
