Claudette Scott

Claudette Mc Williams Scott is a native Missourian.  She was born in Lilbourn, Missouri and educated in Missouri schools.  She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Lincoln University in Jefferson City and a Master’s Degree from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.  Additional graduate work was completed at the University of Missouri in Kansas City, Missouri.

 

Claudette has been an educator for more than forty years.  During that time she taught several different grade levels, did staff development and trained new teachers.  Presently she is an adjunct professor at Ottawa University in Overland Park, Kansas.

 

She has served in several leadership roles.  Among them were President of the local National Education Association, Chairperson of the Hickman Mills Professional Development Committee, Member of the Board of Directors of Missouri National Education Association, President of the Leader’s Council at St. Stephen Baptist Church, President of the Kansas City, Missouri Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc and Vice President of Greater Kansas City Chapter of Lincoln University Alumni Association.

 

Among the awards and honors Claudette has received are member of the Governor’s Commission on Performance, Member of the State and National Goals 2000 Panel, Delta Kappa Mu Honor Society and Missouri Teacher of the Year, 1993-94.
