2018 AmeriCorps Missouri Funding Opportunity

The Missouri Community Service Commission (MCSC) is seeking proposals from eligible organizations interested in operating AmeriCorps programs to strengthen local communities through national service. Eligible organizations include public or private nonprofit organizations, faith-based organizations, educational institutions, and state or local government entities.

Proposals from first-time applicants will be considered for AmeriCorps State formula funding. All AmeriCorps State formula applicants must request a minimum of 5.00 Member Service Years (MSY). One MSY is the equivalent of one full-time AmeriCorps Member.

The AmeriCorps State competitive funding opportunity is by invitation only. Applicants invited by MCSC to apply for this type of funding must request a minimum of 20 Member positions.

Notice of Intent to Apply (First-time Applicants Only)

All first-time applicants are required to submit a Notice of Intent to Apply to MCSC by completing the intent form at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2018NOItoapply by Friday, November 17, 2017 at 11:59 pm (CST).

Key Dates/Deadlines

  • Friday, December 15, 2017 (5:00 PM, CST) - First deadline for competitive applications (only those who are invited) to be submitted to MCSC for review.
  • Friday, December 22, 2017 (5:00 PM, CST) - Deadline for Concept Papers (first-time applicants/existing sub-grantees proposing new projects). Completed concept papers must be submitted to Don Stamper, Executive Director via email at don.stamper@ded.mo.gov or fax at (573) 526-0463.
  • Friday, March 16, 2018 (3:00 PM, CST) - Deadline for formula grant applications; includes New, Recompete, and Continuation applicants.

Technical Assistance:

Technical assistance is available to eligible applicants throughout the grant application period until Wednesday, March 14, 2018. Applicants may direct questions to MCSC staff Monday-Friday, between 9:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m. (CST). Contact information is provided in the Missouri Notice of Funding Opportunity.
